cross-eyed from staring at the trading page

That's me staring into nothingness after spending hours on end fixed on the computer screen, struggling to make some 'fake' money from this stock market world, which I haven't, just yet, but I will...someday...it's all a learning experience :) Excuses, excuses...

It's been a couple of days and thousands have signed on to this game. It's pretty amazing. Money is always a good incentive. I wonder who will win this week. Whoever it will be I take my hat off to you. It's been a bumpy road for me. I still have no idea on what I'm really doing but I must admit that I am getting the hang of buying stocks from the 'chart trading page'. It's been fun- click on the stock you're interested in, type how many lots you're prepared to buy, fill in the stock price, type in the trading password and then click on buy or sell...and that's it. Sounds simple right? Yeah right...so I only realised that sometimes your order is in a queue because there are other people who are wanting to buy the same stock and are just waiting for the opportunity for their order to go through. At least this is what I think is going on. I only realised this when I was figuring out why the stocks that I thought I had bought were not showing up on my 'stocks on hand' page in the game portfolio section. Anyway, there is a stock market seminar this Saturday (tomorrow) at Bursa Malaysia, should be interesting and informative. I should definitely sign up and head on out there! The stocks that I've invested in have been in companies that I've heard people chat about or that I've read about in the business news section (which I've only started to read beginning of this week) from several different newspapers.

Alas it's Friday and the weekend's here. Time to have some downtime and to also understand and read more on what the stock market is all about and how to play...and play it well.
